Sterling Silver jewellery can naturally tarnish over time.
To slow the process we advise to remove your jewellery when applying hand sanitiser or using products like perfume or hairspray.
Before hand sanitising we advise you take your rings off, allow your hands to dry and then put them back on.
Do not shower, soak or submerge your jewellery.
Remove your jewellery when sleeping, cooking or cleaning. Rinsing off any chemicals.
Cleaning your jewellery;
Use a soft dry 100% cotton or microfibre lint free cloth to gently rub the surface of you jewellery and restore its shine.
Our Pearls are cultured, meaning they are grown with a little help from us humans but are real Pearls.
A couple of top tips;
-Wear them. This can keep them from drying out.
- Don't submerge in water. Once a pearl has been drilled this no longer makes them waterproof. Better to take off before showering. Pearls that are water damaged may even go darker.
- And like with all jewellery no perfumes or lotions.
Gold Plated is a thin layer of Gold on Brass. Over time this can wear away.
Gold Filled is higher in quality than Gold Plated where the layer of Gold is 1/20 of the items weight. Unlike Gold Plated, Gold Filled can last a lifetime providing it is cared for properly. It isnt affected by water, hot conditions and tarnish free under normal condition.
We still advise to remove before applying lotions and perfumes and to store in a cool dry place.
